Our Programs

The 12-Step program, initially developed by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), provides a structured path for overcoming addiction.

Here are the key steps:

1. Admitting Powerlessness:

Acknowledge powerlessness over the addiction and that life has become unmanageable.

2. Believing in a Higher Power:

Recognize that a higher power (in any form) can restore sanity.

3. Surrendering Control:

Decide to turn will and life over to the care of a higher power.

4. Continued Self-Reflection:

Regularly take personal inventory and promptly admit mistakes.

5. Confession and Amends:

Admit wrongs to a higher power and another person.

6. Seeking Removal of Defects:

Humbly ask for removal of shortcomings.

7. Making Amends:

List those harmed and be willing to make amends.

8. Direct Amends:

Make amends wherever possible, except when it would harm others.

9. Self-Inventory:

Conduct a fearless moral inventory of oneself.

10. Spiritual Connection:

Seek improved conscious contact with a higher power through prayer and meditation.

11. Spiritual Awakening and Practice:

Practice these principles in all aspects of life.

12. Carrying the Message:

Share the message of recovery with others.

Overall, 12-step programs remain effective for fostering long-term abstinence and supporting recovery from substance use disorders.

Understanding Co-Occurring Disorders:

Co-occurring disorders, also known as dual diagnosis or comorbidity, refer to the simultaneous presence of a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder in an individual. This complex interplay between mental illness and addiction presents unique challenges in diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
People with substance use disorders (SUDs) are at particular risk for developing one or more primary conditions or chronic diseases. The coexistence of both a mental illness and SUD is known as a co-occurring disorder and is common among people in treatment. Common mental health disorders that co-occur with substance use include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and schizophrenial

Testimonials

Take a look what people say abous us

The meaning of the word GENESIS is rebirth, very rightly so. After facing the wrath of my addiction, the wreckage I was left with, never did I ever think that I will be able to stand up again. GENESIS, a true savior, a promising friend has always been there with me as I walk the path of recovery. I am immensely grateful to all the staffs and authorities and Mr. Tanmoy Bose for being the backbone and the support system in my new journey.
